Nice to be back at the drawing board.
Had to visit up country for a funeral of a friend & a very short stay with my Mum so to be fair my work stopped for a few days.
I did however manage to complete the inks on JINGLE SQUAD before my long journey from the shire on Wednesday & even managed to begin the colours while on the train, which was nice. I’m not going to get into the whole time away etc other than to say my travel gods were with me there & back with such nice touches as the trains stopping right in front of me presenting the correct carriage & door as well as finally getting a forward facing table window seat, not to mention on the way back a bus from Witney to Oxford that appeared to have been waiting just for me on Sunday morning.
Thank you travel gods.
WIP Jingle squad colours have begun.
SPACEBOY & THE FUTURE KING 2 Kickstarter has still got 18 days left to go & is currently sitting at 84% funded so fingers are crossed 🤞🏻. A huge thank you goes out to all you guys & gals whose support really is appreciated as well as the shout outs on THE AWESOME COMICS PODCAST. A special mention this week also goes out to Matt Hardy for his help behind the scenes 👍🏻. There’s also potential news of another exciting opportunity beginning to form which I will share all in good time.
As it approaches the second half of funding days it’s prompted me to start gathering all the bags/boards & packaging required which I’m pretty sure I’ve factored into the final amount? Gulp.
In other news & this is often the case, while away upcountry a small stack of parcels comics & magazines arrived much to the amusement of the good lady wife & being someone who tends to pre order items I often forget what’s arriving let alone when?
A couple of new arrivals.
While upcountry it was an interesting time being in the presence of a lot of old friends & faces from the past, explaining to them how moving to Cornwall over 20 odd years ago & doing what I love as well as meeting & marrying Cheryl has really put me in a place of great happiness along with recognising how lucky I am? Please don’t get me wrong, I also loved living up there but I was a little lost with what to do with myself?
Keep pushing for the things you’d like in life & except that it’s not going to happen overnight.
Right, I’ve got to get on, I want to hit this Wednesdays meeting with a good few finished pages to show the guys!
Until next time.
Rory.
